We didn’t start in the boardroom.

Raven Safety started as SAS Safety in a garage — long before online ordering, digital catalogs, or platform selling existed. Just hard work, strong relationships, and a commitment to serving the people who keep America’s vehicles moving.

That’s right…our roots are in the Automotive industry with a focus on the Paint, Body & Equipment market. From day one, we focused on providing dependable respiratory products to paint shops that couldn’t afford downtime or shortcuts. As our customers’ needs evolved, so did SAS. When we introduced gloves and safety glasses, we naturally expanded into the Automotive Hard Parts space — and that’s when momentum began to build.

But the turning point came when we introduced Raven black nitrile gloves.

Built for durability, performance, and real-world shop conditions, Raven quickly stood apart from competitor products. Professionals noticed the difference. Demand grew and the word spread…and what started as a small operation began expanding into the Tools & Equipment and Maintenance & Repair markets.

Today, we continue to serve the same core industries and have expanded into many others with the same founding principles:
