Immediate Discontinuation of NIOSH-Approved 311, 312, and 8600 Family of Respirators

SAS Safety Corp. has always strived to uphold stringent and rigorous production standards in the manufacture of PPE products, specifically our NIOSH-approved respirators.

SAS has been evaluating the viability of certain aspects of its respiratory program and offerings for the past year. Recently, NIOSH conducted an audit and found issues related to our reporting of our recent move as well as communication on procedural updates. With our evaluations, and the results of this audit, it does not make sense financially to work on a relabel and reapplication program. This decision will result in SAS rescinding its NIOSH TC approvals and immediately discontinuing these products. SAS will no longer accept orders for these products and has no current plans to replace them.

The affected items are as follows and will no longer be listed on the NIOSH website, nor be approved for use in an OSHA respiratory program:
